The Old Orchard

This small but lovely project is for a new garden room on the rear of a twentieth century dormer bungalow, located within the Tamar Valley.

The challenges with this project were to do with creating a space that connected the kitchen to the garden, but on part of the site that had no views and had a northerly aspect. The resulting design was for a contemporary slate hung ‘box’ with a picture window seat and bi-fold doors.

Large roof lights offer views of the sky and mature trees, and enable daylight to penetrate the darker areas of the kitchen.
