Fenn House

The outline of this brief was to generally re-think the layout of this late twentieth century home, located on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.

The transformation of this property is based on a review of how the current family use the property, and the possibilities for maximising the connections to the outside space. The proposed design links a series of vibrant rooms that focus on key views out to the countryside and moorland beyond.

Functionally, there was a need to address the hierarchies between the different areas of the house, this culminated in the design of a new open-plan kitchen and dining room. The new extension has a large glazed facade, capturing the panoramic views of the landscape and contains a flexible living space, tailored to modern family life.
